Winter in Australia is unique- While the sun shines on beaches in the north, it’s snow time down south and with school holidays around the corner many Sydney-sider’s are packing up their cars and travelling south to the ski fields for activities and adventures while snow is in abundance.
It’s the perfect time to slide down the slopes with the entire family, take a walk through the pristine wilderness, and revel in the festivities that only a snowy winter brings and because of this it is understandable that children all over the country are going to be increasing their activity over the next few weeks. As as result, keeping your children injury free may require extra parental supervision.
However, with obesity rates in children on the rise, the World Health Organisation (WHO) have also stressed how important it is to encourage our children to get outside and be active. So enjoy the holidays, but remember to stay safe.
