The events in Bondi on Sunday, 14 December, have left our community shaken and heartbroken.
Our thoughts are with the individuals and families who have lost loved ones, whose lives have been changed, and those left grappling with the shock of what has occurred.
In the midst of this devastation, we have also seen extraordinary courage. Police, paramedics, surf lifesavers, healthcare teams and members of the public stepped forward without hesitation to protect and care for others. Their actions are a powerful reminder of the humanity and strength that exists even in the darkest moments.
As a healthcare provider in the Eastern Suburbs, we recognise how deeply this tragedy has affected our patients, referring clinicians, colleagues and neighbours. We acknowledge the grief and uncertainty being felt and extend our sincere gratitude to all emergency and frontline teams who responded with professionalism, compassion and care.
Our Randwick practice remains open and operational, continuing to support patient care and the clinicians who rely on our diagnostic imaging services.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out and speak with a healthcare professional you trust or access available support services via the NSW Government: https://lnkd.in/gFDx_KVD
For those who are able, donating blood is one practical way to support hospitals responding to urgent care needs: lifeblood.com.au
Our thoughts remain with the Bondi and Eastern Suburbs community during this incredibly difficult time.
